I’m lazy. Spaghetti and a simple spinach salad.
Anyone else make it themselves to avoid the aluminum in antiperspirants? Do you use store bought deodorant instead?
I just made two batches to try out. I used lemongrass essential oil in one batch and vanilla in the other. Vanilla isn’t an essential oil but I’m hoping since it’s safe to ingest it’ll be okay to have a few drops in it.
The both smell yummy!
i knew about hobby lobby, interstate batteries, and curves but a few of these are surprises:
i have to admit that i have never seen the show “extreme couponers” – i have very rarely ever experienced the “crazy” that i have been told is portrayed. also, my stockpile is enough to sustain my family for about 6 months but is in no way considered “hoarding”.
this is a very interesting piece which explains how the extreme couponers portrayed on the show actually do it and why it’s not “real”:
I am planning on homeschooling my now 2nd grader once he moves into 3rd grade – he is very bright and I just don’t feel that a classroom of 26 students is pushing him beyond the state testing requirements…another reason to pull him out of public school.
I am reaching out to you ladies in regards to Where to start? I’m not sure which type of homeschool education I want to do, however, I am thinking Charlotte Mason? Was it easy for you to pull your children out of public school to homeschool?
Any advice for surviving the first few months & the first year?
I love the idea of teaching him myself and using real=life experiences ie. Cooking, field trips, social media, etc. to teach subjects to him. I also love the idea that he can choose what topics we talk about during the year.
Any advice, links, etc would be GREATLY appreciated! I literally know NO ONE who homeschools so I feel like an itty-bitty fish in a really big scary ocean right now!
Thank you! <3
I am completely obsessed with this womans books! I love her Celestra series and now her new countenance series. I finish her books in less than 24 hours and I then have to cross my legs and do the potty dance until the next one.
Is there any author or series that you absolutely love and just can’t get enough of and want to cry having to wait for the next book to come out.
(OK, that’s a movie in the making right there! )
The sisters plan to use the tour also to protest cuts in programs for the poor and working families in the federal budget that was passed by the House of Representatives and proposed by Representative Paul D. Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican who cited his Catholic faith to justify the cuts.
“We’re doing this because these are life issues,” said Sister Simone Campbell, executive director of Network, a liberal social justice lobby in Washington. “And by lifting up the work of Catholic sisters, we will demonstrate the very programs and services that will be decimated by the House budget.”
Having worked with nuns for seven years in two different Catholic schools, they can be quite formidable!
With football season starting and baseball season nearing playoffs among many other sports, how much sports viewing do you do?
so – finally saw this last night and so so awesome.
we are a family of marvel, comic book nerds actually. i would recommend seeing the other movies first (although you don’t have to to enjoy the movie as a movie) as it helps with understanding the dynamics among the different superheroes. understanding the technology that links the hulk and captain america, the loki and thor storyline, etc.
as comic book nerds – this movie got a way thumbs up from my teenagers!
